CAROLINE and KENNY "Get to Know Me" at our Laguna Beach Engagement Session

I love doing the "Get to Know Me" enagements sessions.  Not only are they fun, but they let me see how the couple interacts and gives us a chance to talk about things before the wedding.   By the day of the wedding, we're all relaxed, comfortable, and most of all, familiar with each other as friends instead of just showing up as a stranger that was hired to take pictures.  I really enjoy getting to know my couples, and they love the 8x10 matted print that bring for all of the guests to sign on the day of the wedding.

    Kenny and Caroline are down-to-earth, fun and energetic couple.   Like my own husband, Kenny is a US Marine who recently returned home from Iraq.  Having been a Marine wife for nearly 18 years now, I love being able to share experiences with brides new to the military way of life.  We really do have a special bond that the rest of society seldom experiences.  Caroline's mother recognized that connection and emailed me a sweet thank-you note.  I'm gonna really enjoy shooting this wedding!

This shot of Caroline sliding down the railing was totally candid.  This was right after we arrived, and at the beginning of the shoot.  I knew right then that we were gonna have a great time.



This was so funny.....  but not!    We got soaked by the waves as we maneuvered around the rocks, which is okay.....   but wet jeans before the shots in the sand was like getting a good sugar coating.
