Liza Jane & Richard Got Hitched!

I was so excited to book this wedding. Being from the south, I always look forward to an opportunity to head home. I was so looking forward to seeing beautiful moss-filled Oak trees and walking barefoot down a dirt road.  There is so much to be said about the south, it's simple beauty, slower pace of life (which I love), and let's not forget good ole' southern hospitality.

Even though it was good to be home I had a very busy weekend of shooting. The day before the wedding I took Liza out for a shoot in her wedding dress. She wanted to do a different look than the one on her wedding day.  It was so much fun! I have to say that out here in SoCal we don't usually have to move the cows out of the way to get to our photo spot.

These two love birds have known each other since Jr High.  Richard had his eye on Liza ever since high school, but sadly they only remained friends. Once they graduated they went on with their lives. Liza went the University of Georgia to earn an Engineering degree and Richard took on the family business while pursuing his medical degree. It was not until 6 years later that these two came back together.  Liza was invited to Richards sisters wedding and the rest is history!  Do we say "soul mates" or do we thank the "keeper of the stars" to always finding a way to bring the right people together no matter how long it takes!

I just want to thank Liza and Richard for letting me photograph their wedding. They were so fun and easy going that it made the wedding day perfect and it was exactly fitting for Liza's personality.  From the hand made decorations to the mason jars filled with sweet tea and southern pig pick-in bbq.  To top it off they went a different route....  instead of the tradition of lighting the unity candle or mixing the sand, they planted a tree to represent nurturing and growth. Which is exactly what a marriage needs. I say these two are off to a good start and will definitely be together forever.
