Alix and Melina are Married!

I've got to stop tearing up at my weddings or people are gonna think I'm crazy! I know I'm a hopeless romantic, but there every wedding has a special story or event that brings me to tears, and this one was one of the most endearing! During the reception, Alix stood up during the toasting session and told a story about getting their rings engraved prior to the wedding. Each was to engrave their own quote in the other's wedding band. After the ceremony, they checked their rings and discovered that they'd picked the SAME QUOTE!!! Then Alix turned to Melina with the mic in hand, and told her how much he loved her... it put chills on my arms and tears in my eyes.







I love this shot of them. I took about a dozen of this set, but this one with their eyes closed is the sweetest thing....., and I love the lighting. The sun was setting at Green River Golf Course, and I was shooting into the sun so I had my hubby hold a reflector and my PocketWizard flash system off to the side to fill in all of the shadows.

This next pic epitomizes what I love about shooting weddings: the gamut of emotions that are experienced throughout the day that bring people from joy to tears in a matter of seconds (or as captured below, about 6 tenths of a second)!
