Wedding Decorations: Planning for the details

Linka and Mike's Independence Day Wedding was one of the coolest weddings I've done, and that's because Linka is one of the coolest and most creative Brides I've ever worked with. Linka should stand as an inspiration to future brides planning the detailed touches to make a wedding YOUR own blend of personality and style or for the DIY bride. Caroline (Linka) designed and hand crafted so many decorations and details for her wedding that I can't help but blog about it. From the table assignment cards to the huge numbers and flower decorations on the table top, the colors not only matched her theme, but her personality as well. One of the coolest ideas was a gift bag for every kid that was in attendance. What an awesome chic to think about putting something like that together for the kids in the middle of planning everything else! Another cool feature that I'd not seen before was the Candy Bar, put on display by Gourmet Gourmet caterers, who did an awesome job by the way. The Candy Bar was a 14 foot table full of colorful sweets. Apparently, Linka is known for having a sweet tooth, and the guests lined up to indulge!
Further made it fit her personality and athletic background by wearing a pair of classy Nikes, symbolic of her love for sports, (and comfort :), just as she'd done at all of her proms. Linka was also awesome at sticking with the game plan. When we bolted through the reception area she stayed focused on mission to get the pictures done, and let guests know she'd be with them shortly. She made my job easy!
The wedding took place at the Kellogg House, once owned by the inventor of Kellogg's Corn Flakes. The mansion and land was donated to Cal Poly, Pamona nearly a hundred years ago, and the antiques in the home made gorgeous backdrop!
